Some information about counseling:

I believe that counseling helps people to make significant, positive changes in their lives. The therapy process allows individuals to develop a better understanding of their actions, thoughts, and feelings. This exploration allows individuals to make changes in their lives to improve any number of areas. Some individuals struggle with depression or anxiety, and these individuals often benefit from changing unhealthy life patterns. Others may have a hard time in relationships, and may need to develop better communication skills, clearer expectations and boundaries, or patterns of interaction.

Who typically seeks my help:

I work with a number of people who need help polishing their time management, personal organization, and assertiveness skills - general abilities that can make a world of difference in a person's every day life! Sometimes just 2-3 sessions can be very effective at targeting a specific area of concern or to improve self-esteem after some rough months at work. Each individual has a unique history and specific way of interacting with the world, and different types of therapy can be used to tailor to each set of needs. I utilize a variety of methods and approaches to make each client's experience both unique and productive.

I've been providing counseling & psychotherapy to individuals and couples since 1991, and I thoroughly enjoy my career! I welcome the opportunity to talk with you about taking steps forward in your own personal growth.
